Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation is seeking a Lead Hardware Engineer in New Hampshire (Remote) to drive the design and development of complex VPX hardware, including SBCs, FPGA, and I/O cards. You will lead cross-functional teams across hardware design, firmware, and software interfaces to meet demanding DoD requirements.

The role demands 8+ years in DoD embedded hardware, HDI PCB expertise, and strong leadership with a focus on reliability, security, and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of DoD embedded hardware design experience (SBC/FPGA/I/O).
• Extensive experience with high-density interconnect PCBs and HDI processes.
• Experience with Siemens Expedition tools and leading hardware teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead collaboration with engineering, PM, test, and operations in small teams to meet customer requirements.
• Direct design and development of 3U/6U VPX SBC, FPGA, switch, and I/O cards for high-speed data apps.
• Oversee custom form-factor systems with SBC/FPGA/switch/I/O, power, and thermal management.
• Translate customer needs into architectures and hardware solutions.
• Guide design reviews, technical decisions, and production support; ensure MTTR goals.
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices to boost performance and reliability.
