Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree required.
• Four years of related experience in sponsored research and/or financial positions.
• Additional education may substitute for required experience; equivalency rules apply.
• Completion of the Research Administration Training Program (13-15 months) is equivalent to two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct complex award management activities including monitoring and reporting.
• Coordinate with faculty, budget staff, and ORA to plan and develop submissions to federal agencies, private foundations, and industry partners.
• Ensure compliance with institutional pre-award policies and sponsor guidelines.
• Review proposals for accuracy before submission.
• Prepare timely budgets for PI review.
• Serve as liaison between research units, central offices, and funding agencies.
• Review budgets and justifications for completeness and appropriateness.
• Support subcontract negotiations and post-award processes as needed.
• Assist with closeouts and ensure proper documentation and compliance.
