Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Two years of administrative/budgeting experience.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience per JHU policy.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with departmental faculty and budget staff to plan and develop grant submissions.
  • Review sponsored project proposals for accuracy and compliance before signatures.
  • Provide guidance on grant application procedures and sponsor guidelines.
  • Serve as liaison between research units, central offices and funding agencies.
  • Review budgets and justifications, ensure indirect costs and subawards are considered.
  • Manage post-award activities including budget distribution, reconciliations, and closeouts.
  • Coordinate award setup after grant numbers are assigned and ensure personnel are set up appropriately.
  • Provide oversight and reporting on current grants and contracts, including audits and evaluations.
  • Assist with contract/grant closeouts and other duties as assigned.
