Job summary

Cardinal Health seeks a Sr Transportation Analyst to optimize freight audit and payment processes across its medical supply chain. You will manage SPAs, reconcile invoices, and drive cost-saving initiatives while collaborating with Transportation, Finance, and IT teams.

Responsibilities include SOP development, KPI reporting, and mentoring staff to ensure accurate GL coding and timely payments. Travel is expected around 10% across the network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Accounting or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of Freight Audit, Transportation and Logistics Finance, Accounts Payable, or similar role in a high-volume environment.
• Experience with ERPs (SAP, Oracle), TMS platforms or freight audit systems.
• Intermediate Excel skills – VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables.
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com or similar CRM/case management tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine SOPs for freight auditing, queue management, and invoice aging.
• Ensure accurate freight audit in systems; coordinate with pay system owner or account manager for changes.
• Ensure proper general ledger coding and cost allocation; resolve billing discrepancies.
• Generate KPI reports on audit and payment activity for month-end close.
• Resolve carrier invoice disputes based on audit findings and contracts.
• Serve as primary carrier contact, training on proper invoicing procedures.
• Monitor payment system queues; troubleshoot invoices in error status with IT and Finance.
• Mentor team members on freight audit policies and system use.
• Identify and implement process and system enhancements for efficiency.
• Lead cost savings initiatives to optimize transportation spend.
• Monitor KPIs and provide actionable insights to meet goals.
