Job summary

Cayuse Holdings is seeking a Sr Forward Deployed Engineer for a remote, independent contractor role to drive technical direction for a product pod and partner with clients across engagements.

You will embed with client teams, design and deploy secure, production-ready agentic workflows, and own system design across AWS, AI-enabled tooling, and full-stack development. This position emphasizes client impact and hands-on delivery.

Qualifications

• AWS serverless stack including Bedrock, Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, Cognito, DynamoDB, S3.
• Terraform IaC, full-stack React/TypeScript/Node.js and Python, AI-native SDLC.
• Professional English fluency, written and verbal.
• AI-enabled and hands-on with Claude Code (or comparable tooling).
• Timezone overlap with PST (5 hours) and hands-on AWS delivery.

Responsibilities

• Embeds with the client as technologist and trusted advisor, partnering with business stakeholders to define and architect solutions.
• Leads design and deployment of agentic workflows that are production-ready, secure, and operational, and retains ultimate accountability for responsible system design.
• Claude Code super-user and full-stack AWS developer, deeply engaged with the client's business, not solely the technology.
• Typically carries depth or breadth across multiple specialties.
