Job summary

Cayuse Holdings is seeking a Sr Forward Deployed Engineer to work remotely on a six-to-eight month contract. The role involves embedding with clients as a technologist, shaping architecture and solutions, and owning the design of production-ready, secure workflows.

You will bring deep AWS serverless experience, full-stack skills, and experience with Claude Code and AI-enabled tooling, with PST overlapping hours. This independent contractor position offers 1099/C2C and a 6-8 month renewable term.

Qualifications

• Proficient with English, written and spoken.
• AI-enabled and hands-on with Claude Code or comparable tooling.
• Hands-on AWS delivery experience.
• Timezone overlap with PST business hours (8am–6pm PST).

Responsibilities

• Embeds with the client as technologist and trusted advisor, partnering with business stakeholders to define and architect solutions.
• Leads design and deployment of agentic workflows that are production-ready, secure, and operational, and retains ultimate accountability for responsible system design.
• A Claude Code super-user and full-stack AWS developer, deeply engaged with the client's business, not solely the technology.
• Typically carries depth or breadth across multiple specialties.
