Job summary

Cayuse Holdings is seeking a Sr Forward Deployed Engineer for a remote, contract-based role. You will embed with clients to define architecture, lead deployment of secure workflows, and handle full-stack AWS development using React/TypeScript/Node.js and Python. Claude Code expertise is highly valued.

The position is an independent contractor for 6–8 months with potential renewals, overlapping PST hours and pay of $100–$120/hr on 1099/C2C terms.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS serverless architecture (Bedrock, Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, Cognito, DynamoDB, S3).
• Proficiency with React/TypeScript/Node.js and Python in full‑stack environments.
• Hands-on with Claude Code or comparable agentic tooling and AI-native SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Embeds with the client as technologist and trusted advisor to define and architect solutions.
• Leads design and deployment of production‑ready, secure, and operational workflows.
• Act as Claude Code super‑user and full‑stack AWS developer engaged with the client’s business.
• Typically carries depth or breadth across multiple specialties.
