Job summary

ABB is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to deliver high-quality technical support, installations, maintenance and repairs for power delivery equipment. The role is remote with substantial travel to customer sites and requires adherence to safety and quality standards.

The candidate will generate reports, manage materials and costs, and ensure customer satisfaction while working under the Area Field Services Manager. A strong engineering background and U.S.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with at least 8 years of engineering/field experience.
• Technical skills in testing power distribution: LV & MV breakers, switchgear, relays, transformers.
• Experience in repair/refurbishment of LV/MV circuit breakers.
• Willingness to travel ~70% as required.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Work authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Safety & Compliance with ABB policies and safety standards.
• Perform hands-on project work including startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, design and repair.
• Improve installation and field service standards and deliver excellent customer satisfaction.
• Complete technical reports, job status updates, material orders, quotations, time and expense reports; manage costs.
