Job summary

Gatik is seeking a Sr. Field Service Team Manager to build and lead a team of Field Service Technicians, ensuring high vehicle availability and safety.

You will oversee market technical execution and upfits, collaborating with TechOps across Hardware, Software, and Autonomous Vehicle Integration to resolve complex issues. The role is remote with travel to sites across North America, reporting to the Director, Fleet and Maintenance Strategy, and emphasizing safety, quality, and regulatory

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in technical field service, commercial fleet maintenance, or automotive/hardware technical operations.
• At least 2+ years in direct people management.
• Proven track record of hiring, mentoring, and managing technical teams.
• Experience with vehicle upfits, sensor/hardware integration, end-of-line verification, and technical campaigns.
• Ability to author clear SOPs and work instructions.
• Familiarity with vehicle diagnostics, electrical systems, CAN bus/telematics, and troubleshooting tools.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, manage, and empower a high-performing team of Field Service Technicians, directing daily operations and career growth.
• Bridge communication between frontline technicians and central TechOps to drive rapid root-cause analysis.
• Diagnose underperforming fleet assets and implement targeted maintenance to maximize uptime.
• Oversee physical upfits and End of Line verification for compute, sensor, and hardware suites.
• Execute field vehicle campaigns and retrofits, and train vendors on standards.
• Enforce safety protocols and regulatory compliance including DOT/FMCSA standards.
