Job summary

Gatik is seeking a Sr. Field Service Team Manager to build and lead a team of Field Service Technicians, ensure high vehicle availability, and uphold safety standards across North America.

You will coordinate with TechOps, drive maintenance programs, and manage autonomous system upfits. You will oversee end-of-line verification, field campaigns, and the development of standard work while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical field service, fleet maintenance, or automotive/hardware operations.
• At least 2+ years in direct people management and team leadership.
• Ability to manage complex technical escalations and collaborate with hardware/software teams.
• Hands-on experience with vehicle upfits, sensor/hardware integration, and EOL verification.
• Ability to author SOPs, work instructions, and technical documentation.
• Deep familiarity with vehicle diagnostics, electrical systems, CAN bus/telematics, and troubleshooting tools.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, manage, and empower a high-performing Field Service Technician team, directing daily operations, performance, and safety.
• Establish a field liaison program and escalation framework between frontline technicians and TechOps.
• Partner with engineering to diagnose underperforming fleet assets and implement maintenance strategies to maximize uptime.
• Oversee physical upfits and End-of-Line verification for compute, sensor, and hardware suites.
• Execute field vehicle campaigns, create standard work, and train vendors on standards.
• Enforce safety protocols, PPE usage, and DOT/FMCSA regulatory compliance.
