Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a seasoned security researcher to analyze in-the-wild exploits and document vulnerability techniques. You will reverse engineer exploits, develop automation tools, and produce threat intelligence to guide detections and mitigations. Strong writing and cross-team collaboration are essential.

The role is remote with occasional travel, applying AI-assisted methods to accelerate vulnerability research and exploitation analysis for state-sponsored and criminal actors.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in exploitation techniques for userspace and kernel-level vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of common network service exploitation techniques.
• Solid understanding of Windows and at least one other OS platform.
• Familiarity with web-based exploitation vectors.
• Strong collaboration and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement tracking systems for cross-team adversary tracking based on exploitation behavior.
• Improve detection capabilities for exploits, payloads, and attack vectors.
• Develop tools to automate exploit analysis tasks.
• Create classification framework for attributing intrusion activity.
• Produce high-quality threat intelligence reports with actionable guidance.
• Brief various audiences and coordinate with CrowdStrike teams on mitigation strategies.
