Providence is seeking a Senior Claims Manager - Employment Practice Liability (EPL) for a remote role. The person will directly manage EPL claims and collaborate with defense counsel to assess exposure and coverage.

Ideal candidates bring extensive EPL experience, strong negotiation and presentation skills, and the ability to drive reporting and trends to leadership. The position offers a remote work setup and requires dependable travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Law, HR or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years Employment law, risk management or insurance related to employment practices.
• Background handling EPL claims as a claim professional and/or defending EPL claims as an attorney.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and resolve coverage issues for Employment Practices claims.
• Investigate EPL claims through calls, written correspondence, and with attorneys and witnesses.
• Present claims and trends to leadership, covering coverage, liability, and exposure.
• Analyze information to determine ultimate exposure for assigned claims.
• Negotiate and resolve claims with defense counsel within authority, using denials or releases.
• Provide reports to leadership, claims, reinsurance and legal on significant cases.
• Report cases going to trial and attend trials when requested.
• Coordinate referrals to reinsurers and provide timely updates.
