The Hartford seeks an experienced Claims Consultant for its EPL claims group. You will manage complex litigated EPL cases from start to finish, evaluating coverage, liability, and damages and coordinating with defense counsel.

Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential as you present cases to senior leadership and support underwriting teams. Hybrid or remote work is available, with potential office presence in Hartford, San Antonio, Lake Mary, or other locations as needed.

Competenze

Minimum of 7 years handling litigated coverage and liability cases and/or claims.
Experience handling EPL claims and related coverage issues.
Excellent oral and written communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to analyze complex facts and translate into position statements.
Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work with moderate supervision.

Mansioni

Manage a caseload of EPL claims from inception to final disposition.
Analyze coverage, liability, and damages based on facts.
Communicate positions to insureds and required parties in writing.
Set reserves for expenses and indemnity and monitor adjustments.
Present cases to management for reserve authority and negotiate resolutions.
Coordinate with defense counsel and manage litigation planning and budgeting.
Attend trials and mediations as needed and provide training support to Underwriters.
Prepare reports and deliver presentations on case developments and trends.
