Pendo's Customer Engineering team is the technical backbone of the pre- and post-sales customer motion. The team brings together work that has historically sat across Customer Success, Technical Account Management, and Solutions Engineering into one full-lifecycle technical owner.

Customer Engineering helps customers connect technical execution to business outcomes and realize the value of their investment in Pendo.

Qualifications

5 to 8 years in a customer-facing technical role.
Hands-on web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs.
Experience managing strategic Enterprise accounts with exec stakeholders.
Ability to solve ambiguous problems with multiple variables and tradeoffs.
Experience tying technical work to business outcomes (retention, expansion, ROI).
Hands-on use of AI tools for research, content creation, or automation.
Experience mentoring or coaching junior engineers.

Responsibilities

Lead new customer acquisition efforts with pre-sales collaboration and tailored demos.
Oversee complex implementations and value realization with executive visibility.
Drive adoption and expansion by identifying opportunities across features and products.
Serve as escalation point for technical challenges and coordinate with product/engineering as needed.
Create playbooks and repeatable fixes; coach peers and share workflows.
Assess account health and build trust with stakeholders to move accounts forward.
Contribute reusable frameworks and processes to improve team capability.
