Job summary

Fanatics is building a leading global digital sports platform. As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will grow and scale engineering teams delivering high-quality software for customer-facing products and internal platforms.

You will own the Fanatics App ecosystem, coordinating with product and design to drive an ambitious roadmap while maintaining strong engineering practices and developer enablement. Travel to Fanatics offices may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing one or more engineering teams.
• 4+ years of experience building highly scalable and fault-tolerant systems.
• Ability to scope projects with targeted dates and negotiate features with Product Management.
• Excellent communication of complex technical subjects to diverse audiences.
• Experience with Agile software delivery and SCRUM, plus strong analytics and problem solving.
• Willingness to recruit, onboard, and mentor engineers; cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience in a startup-like, fast-growing environment; mobile software background is a plus.
• Familiarity with Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose Multiplatform is preferred.
• Passion for sports cards, collectibles, or live commerce is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and technical expertise within your engineering vertical.
• Build and lead one or more teams to deliver software while adhering to engineering best practices.
• Manage, coach, and develop engineers across mobile and backend platforms.
• Clarify technical requirements, negotiate priorities, and manage projects to deliver on time.
• Collaborate with product and design to communicate an ambitious but achievable roadmap.
• Drive reliable execution using data and KPIs and champion continuous improvement.
• Promote AI-assisted engineering workflows, tooling, and developer enablement best practices.
• Provide updates on KPIs and status to executives and stakeholders.
• Recruit, assess and onboard a diverse group of engineers.
• Align stakeholders to transform ideas into an actionable roadmap.
• Remain technically engaged in architecture discussions while empowering engineers.
