Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing one or more engineering teams
• 4+ years of experience building highly scalable and fault-tolerant systems
• Ability to scope projects with targeted dates to meet business needs
• Strong communication of complex technical topics to diverse audiences
• Familiarity with Agile software delivery and SCRUM methodologies
• Experience leading multiple engineering domains and cross-functional partners
• Proven ability to recruit, coach and onboard engineers
• Proven ability to drive KPIs, data-driven decisions, and continuous improvement
• Experience with AI-enabled engineering workflows and developer tooling

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and technical expertise within your engineering vertical
• Build and lead one or more teams to deliver software while adhering to engineering best practices
• Manage, coach, and develop engineers across mobile and backend platforms
• Clarify technical requirements, negotiate priorities, and manage projects to deliver on time
• Collaborate with product and design to create a clear, ambitious roadmap
• Drive reliable and predictable team execution using KPIs and continuous improvement
• Promote adoption of AI-assisted engineering workflows and tooling
• Provide updates to executives and stakeholders with clear metrics
• Assist in recruiting and onboarding diverse engineering talent
• Coordinate across Fanatics to align ideas into an actionable roadmap
• Remain technically engaged in architecture discussions while empowering engineers
• Occasional travel to Fanatics offices and events
