Job summary

Fanatics is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and scale multiple engineering teams delivering customer-facing products and internal platforms. You will own technical roadmaps, align with product and design, and drive high-quality software across our global sportsbook and commerce portfolio.

This role demands hands-on leadership, strong architecture judgment, Agile discipline, and the ability to recruit and onboard top engineers while communicating clearly to executives.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience managing an engineering team
• 4+ years of experience building highly scalable and fault tolerant systems
• Familiar with Agile software product delivery and SCRUM methodology
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Able to communicate complex technical subjects to diverse audiences
• Able to scope a project with targeted dates
• Negotiate with Product Management and stakeholders
• Work cross-functionally within an enterprise environment

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and technical expertise within your engineering vertical
• Build and lead teams delivering software with engineering best practices
• Clarify technical requirements, negotiate priorities, and manage projects to deliver on time
• Escalate blockers to accelerate delivery
• Collaborate with product and design to create an ambitious, achievable roadmap
• Drive reliable execution with KPIs and continuous improvement
• Provide updates to executives and key stakeholders
• Recruit and onboard diverse engineers
• Occasional travel to company offices and events
