Job summary

Nava Public Benefit Corp. seeks an Engineering Manager to drive growth of a highly skilled engineering team. You will mentor direct reports, contribute technically as IC or TL, and align delivery with customer needs in a remote‑first, US‑wide environment.

You will design, implement and review cloud‑native microservices, APIs, and data workflows on AWS, while partnering with product teams to manage risk, milestones, and technical debt.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in agile, multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience designing production‑grade cloud-native microservices with Java/Spring Boot.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/JDBC and ORM (Hibernate).
• DevOps experience with Jenkins CI/CD.
• AWS cloud native services and data engineering expertise.
• Strategic thinking on trade‑offs and long‑term planning.
• Authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship needed.
• May be subject to a government background check or security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Write code and review code across projects.
• Write and review technical specifications.
• Guide cross‑functional product teams to mitigate tech risks.
• Lead planning, estimation, prioritization, and debt balance.
• Review architecture and designs from other teams.
• Strategize with leadership on project growth.
• Attend conferences and network with potential clients.
