Relativity in Omaha, Nebraska, seeks an Employee Relations Specialist to act as a trusted advisor, handling complex ER matters with sound judgment and legal fluency. This Senior role partners with HRBPs, Legal, and leadership to resolve issues and strengthen culture as we scale.

You will lead investigations, advise on performance actions, ensure fair outcomes, and support governance with rigorous documentation and risk mitigation across regions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience with at least 3 years in Employee Relations or HR compliance
• Experience leading workplace investigations from intake through resolution
• Working knowledge of multi-state employment law and regulatory requirements
• Ability to manage high-risk, sensitive cases with discretion and sound judgment
• Strong written communication for legally defensible documentation

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end investigations into complex ER matters (misconduct, discrimination, retaliation, policy violations)
• Advise on high-risk performance cases, including PIPs and involuntary separations
• Ensure processes follow structured, documented frameworks with timelines and metrics
• Collaborate with Legal to manage risk, escalation thresholds, and compliance
• Provide real-time ER case consultation for ambiguous or sensitive situations
• Drive governance of ER processes and build scalable templates and workflows
