Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Senior Director, Capture to lead capture, pursuit, and solutioning architecture across defense programs. This senior role reports to the VP of Business Development, Defense Agency Account, and involves frequent briefings to senior leadership.

This is a remote position with the ability to travel up to 25% within the United States. You will shape opportunities, orchestrate teams, and influence pricing and win strategies for strategic procurements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
• 12 years of relevant experience required; 15+ preferred.
• Experience across the Air Force and Space Force Cyber/DoD environments with sales, proposals and capture management is required.
• Experience in project management, systems or business analysis, technical solution architecture, operations/sales/capture management, and go-to-market strategies.
• Must be able to travel 25% within the United States.
• Experience leading matrixed teams and prior sales, proposal and capture experience is essential.
• Strong leadership, organizational and time-management skills are required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and public speaking skills.
• Ability to make decisions, delegate when appropriate, and escalate as needed.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools and data-driven pricing insights is important.

Responsibilities

• Lead capture, pursuit, and solutioning architecture for multiple lines of business.
• Provide strategic guidance to executives on solution shaping and response strategies.
• Develop relationships with internal stakeholders and brief senior leadership for decisions.
• Maintain win/loss metrics and craft differentiating sales themes.
• Lead planning and capture activities 6+ months before RFP release and support aligned captures.
• Contribute to pricing strategy discussions with data-driven insights.
• Coordinate teaming agreements and manage input from proposal developers to ensure compliant, high-quality proposals.
