Job summary

DigitalOcean is seeking a Senior Director of Business Development to join our Strategic Partnerships team. You will lead strategic technology partnerships with AI model developers and other AI providers, bridging cutting‑edge AI capabilities with DigitalOcean’s platform and ecosystem.

You will collaborate across Product, Engineering, Finance, and Legal to shape high‑value alliances. Reporting to the VP, you will identify opportunities, negotiate terms, and drive adoption across go‑to‑market

Qualifications

Proven expertise in building strategic technology partnerships within the AI and cloud computing sectors.
Demonstrated success negotiating complex agreements, including OEM, revenue share, and bespoke commercial models.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders.
Robust technical acumen to navigate and communicate sophisticated AI/cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

Identify emerging AI market opportunities and define partnership playbooks.
Lead negotiations and secure alliances with premier AI technology providers.
Oversee end-to-end partner evaluations and align engagements with internal teams.
Develop business models (marketplace, OEM, referral, or M&A) aligned with long-term strategy.
Drive commercial agreements in collaboration with Finance and Legal.
Coordinate handoffs to Product and GTM for scalable partnerships.
