Qualifications

• 7+ years underwriting commercial, corporate, syndicated and leveraged loan transactions.
• 7+ years analyzing and spreading business financial statements for loan transactions.
• 7+ years in a commercial credit or lending role with a bank or investment bank.
• 7+ years of buy/sell side syndicated credit experience with a bank or investment bank.
• Experience making credit decisions on transactions > $100 million.
• Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools to enhance research and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Develop policies, templates and structures for a quality credit portfolio.
• Identify prospective syndicated and leveraged loans with third-party partners.
• Lead due diligence and underwriting for new loan opportunities.
• Make and present credit decisions to credit administration and committee.
• Assess risk ratings for underwritten loans.
• Create credit underwriting memos analyzing requests, borrowers and collateral.
• Create and analyze enterprise valuation models (DCF, comps).
• Maintain knowledge of bank policies, regulations and systems.
• Ensure loan files are complete and accurate.
• Perform portfolio management and covenant testing.
• Ensure accuracy of internal reports and portfolio systems.
• Develop relationships with internal and external partners.
• Travel to lender meetings as needed.
