Tokio Marine HCC is seeking a Senior Construction Underwriter for a remote role. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of middle-market E&S underwriting experience and the ability to manage a profitable book within an assigned territory, while developing pricing and risk assessments.

You will build strong broker relationships, follow underwriting guidelines, and provide expertise across liability lines. The position offers growth and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 4 Year Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent education/experience.
• 5+ years of relevant middle market contractors E&S underwriting experience.
• Pursuit of professional designations (RPLU, CPCU, AU, CIC) depending on specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate applications to assess risk and determine pricing.
• Maintain agency/broker relationships to grow business.
• Follow underwriting guidelines and authority limits.
• Prepare and maintain documentation and underwriting worksheets.
• Collaborate with team and stay current on market trends.
• Develop a profitable book within an assigned territory.
