Job summary

Tokio Marine HCC is seeking a Senior Construction Underwriter for a remote-friendly role that can support candidates in Ohio or other states. You will review applications, determine acceptance, set pricing, and build partnerships with agencies and brokers to grow a profitable book of business.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in middle-marketE&S underwriting, a 4-year degree, and professional designations in underwriting or related fields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience required.
• 5+ years of relevant middle market contractors E&S underwriting experience.
• Professional designations (RPLU/CPCU/AU/CIC or equivalent) encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and renewal applications and related documents to assess risk and pricing.
• Interact with brokers to provide underwriting information and guidance within agreed timeframes.
• Maintain documentation and underwriting files per guidelines.
• Adhere to underwriting authority directives and policies.
• Develop and manage a profitable book of business within assigned territory.
