Tokio Marine HCC is seeking a Senior Underwriter with Artisan E&S experience to join a distributed, high-performing team. This role emphasizes risk assessment, pricing strategy, agency relationships, and profitable book management across a remote-first environment.

You will evaluate new and renewal applications, apply underwriting authority, and collaborate with brokers to grow business while adhering to corporate guidelines and market trends.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant middle market E&S underwriting experience.
• Pursuing or holding professional designations (RPLU, CPCU, AU, CIC) depending on specialty.
• Strong relationship building with agencies and brokers; underwriting authority limits understood.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and renewal policy applications to classify and assess risk and determine pricing.
• Contact and respond to broker inquiries within designated timeframe to provide underwriting guidance.
• Create and maintain documentation for new and renewal files, worksheets, and conversations.
