Job summary

Tokio Marine HCC is seeking a Senior Construction Underwriter for a remote US role. You will review applications, assess risk, determine pricing, and develop coverage with brokers, building a profitable book across assigned territory.

Candidates should have 5+ years in middle market contractor E&S, a 4-year degree, and pursue professional designations such as RPLU, CPCU, AU, or CIC. The position emphasizes organization, problem solving, and growth with a global specialty insurer.

Qualifications

• 4 Year Bachelors Degree / or the equivalent education and/or experience
• 5+ years of relevant and progressive middle market contractors E&S professional experience
• Studies toward attaining a Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU), CPCU, AU, CIC or equivalent designation

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate applications to assess risk, determine acceptability and pricing.
• Create and maintain underwriting documentation and worksheets.
• Develop a profitable book of business within an assigned territory.
• Cultivate relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders to support growth and underwriting efficiency
