Energy Systems Group is hiring a Senior Construction Project Manager for the Public Sector Central team. This remote position requires travel up to 50% with overnight stays depending on project location.

The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, cost control, and on-time delivery for complex public sector projects. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in engineering/construction project management, a relevant degree, and certifications such as PMP and DBIA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management preferred.
• 7+ years of engineering and construction-related project management experience.
• Experience directing project teams and developing schedules.
• Ability to manage budgets and control costs across projects.
• Professional and ethical collaboration with customers and teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with engineering to ensure accurate estimates aligned with goals.
• Maintain customer contact to schedule work and report progress, costs and training.
• Obtain quotes, select contractors, issue contracts, and manage subcontractors.
• Track project costs, billings, and margins, and flag deviations for action.
• Monitor labor, materials, and modifications to meet time and cost targets.
• Ensure OSHA and safety compliance; oversee installation and quality control.
