Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Senior Configuration Analyst - II to lead software configuration management efforts for VA-related projects. This remote, U.S.-based position requires expertise in CM, release engineering, and DevOps within a regulated environment.

The role focuses on implementing CM standards, building and deploying software, and mentoring junior staff, while liaising with stakeholders to ensure compliant, reproducible releases.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering complex software builds and releases.
• Experience in regulated or federal environments.
• Deep CM and release engineering expertise.
• Knowledge of DevOps, QA, and systems engineering.
• Experience with CM practices and source control.
• Experience with cloud migration and infrastructure as code.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Support VA apps and migrate to the cloud.
• Develop and maintain CM tools for identification, control, reporting, and delivery of software and COTS products.
• Perform CM and release tasks ensuring documentation and compliance with standards.
• Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools for modeling and development.
• Design and implement build procedures to support software product development.
• Develop software configuration standards for company-wide use.
• Train software developers in CM tools and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and solutions to complex problems.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders; mentor junior analysts/engineers.
• Ensure repeatable build and deployment processes across projects.
