Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Commissioning Manager to lead the Commissioning Project Management function across a nationwide portfolio. You will own integrated commissioning plans, schedules, and escalation processes while coordinating with HV and BESS/PV field teams to ensure timely delivery.

You will mentor the Sr. CPM team, drive safety culture, and standardize processes to improve ownership, transparency, and customer confidence on complex solar, storage, and high-voltage projects.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in EPC commissioning or project management.
• Experience leading multi-project portfolio workload.
• Ability to integrate commissioning into schedules, budgets and plans.
• Strong knowledge of utility-scale solar, storage, and HV commissioning.
• Ability to identify and escalate project risks.
• Experience training and mentoring PM personnel.
• Strong organizational skills and stakeholder coordination.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; PMP preferred.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Sr. Commissioning Project Management team with direction and coaching.
• Set goals, workloads, and accountability aligned with objectives.
• Hire, onboard, and mentor staff and support succession planning.
• Foster safety, ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Standardize the CPM operating model across regions and project types.
• Maintain portfolio visibility of schedules, milestones, risks, and performance.
• Ensure each project has clear ownership and integrated plans.
• Oversee ownership of commissioning scope, communication, and turnover.
• Establish readiness reviews, dashboards, and reporting standards.
• Balance assignments based on schedule, risk, and priorities.
• Escalate issues affecting energization and milestones promptly.
• Support cross-functional resolution of challenges.
• Coordinate with PM, Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Field Testing, Safety, Quality, SCADA, OT Infra.
• Partner with HV and BESS/PV leaders to align technical scope with plans.
• Review staffing needs and forecast resource requirements.
• Monitor performance trends and improve predictability and customer confidence.
• Standardize processes, tools, and lessons learned across the portfolio.
• Ensure safety planning and energized-work requirements are included in plans.
