Job summary

SOLV Energy invites a Senior Commissioning Manager to lead the Commissioning Project Management function across a nationwide portfolio. This remote role oversees the Sr. CPM team, ensuring integrated commissioning plans, milestone visibility, and cross-functional coordination with HV and BESS/PV leaders.

You will drive early issue escalation, develop staffing plans, and standardize project-management processes while maintaining a strong safety culture and client-focused communication.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in EPC commissioning, project management, or delivery of utility-scale electrical or renewable projects.
• Experience leading multi-project or portfolio-level delivery.
• Strong understanding of utility-scale solar, battery energy storage, and high-voltage commissioning interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Sr. Commissioning Project Management team with direction, coaching and performance feedback.
• Establish team goals, workloads, and accountability aligned with company objectives.
• Hire, onboard, mentor employees and support succession planning.
• Foster a culture of safety, ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Standardize the Sr. CPM operating model across regions, business units, and project types.
• Maintain portfolio-level visibility of schedules, milestones, readiness, risks, and performance.
• Ensure each project has a clear Sr. CPM owner and an integrated commissioning plan.
• Lead readiness reviews, dashboards, and consistent reporting to stakeholders.
• Balance assignments across regions based on schedule, complexity, and priorities.
• Escalate issues affecting energization, milestones, and customer commitments.
