Job summary

Cognizant seeks a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and support cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and Kubernetes. You will build microservices, serverless components, and batch processing with Spring Batch, ensuring secure, scalable APIs.

Based in the United States, you will work East Coast hours with distributed teams and clients, embracing Agile practices and CI/CD to deliver high-quality software while maintaining work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience developing enterprise apps using Java (8/11/17+).
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Framework/Spring Boot incl. RESTful services & microservices.
• Experience building cloud-native apps on AWS (DynamoDB, S3, IAM, Serverless).
• Strong knowledge of AWS/Kubernetes cloud tech and event-driven patterns.
• Experience with Spring Batch for large-scale batch processing.
• Experience building/consuming REST APIs with OpenAPI specs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support cloud-native apps using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Build and maintain scalable microservices, serverless apps, and event-driven architectures.
• Develop batch processing solutions using Spring Batch for large-scale data processing.
• Create and consume RESTful APIs with performance, security, scalability.
• Troubleshoot production issues via monitoring, observability, and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile and CI/CD best practices.
