Job summary

Verisys is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with deep AWS expertise to build, secure, and scale our healthcare credentialing platform. The role covers Linux, Windows, on-prem Nutanix, containers (Rancher and ECS Anywhere), SMTP relay, and SSL/TLS cert management. This is a remote role with high ownership.

You will move between cloud engineering, systems administration, and whatever the business needs next, so adaptability is key.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or sysadmin with 3+ years in AWS prod workloads.
• Expert-level Linux and strong Windows Server administration.
• Hands-on with Nutanix AHV, Prism Element/Central, and capacity planning.
• Experience with Rancher-native Cattle clusters and ECS Anywhere.
• IaC with CloudFormation; scripting in PowerShell/Bash; Python is a plus.
• SMTP relay setup and end-to-end TLS/SSL certificate management.
• Solid networking fundamentals and remote, independent work capability.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure, highly available AWS infrastructure with security and DR focus.
• Manage infrastructure as code and support CI/CD for container builds and deployments.
• Run container workloads on ECS/ECS Anywhere and administer Rancher clusters.
• Administer Linux and Windows servers, including on-prem Nutanix environment.
• Automate configuration and patching; monitor, log, and participate in on-call.
• Own SMTP relay, TLS certificates, and HITRUST/SOC 2 compliance support.
