Job summary

First Citizens is seeking a Senior Technical Leader for VMware Cloud Foundation to guide architecture, engineering, automation, and lifecycle management of the enterprise private cloud across the United States.

You will define cloud strategy for vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Aria Suite, and SDDC operations, drive platform modernization, and mentor cloud engineers while providing on-call support to ensure availability and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of cloud leadership or 14 years of hands-on cloud leadership experience.
• Experience leading enterprise virtualization or private cloud initiatives.
• Familiarity with VMware Cloud Foundation, SDDC, automation, DR and governance.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the overall cloud architecture and strategy for the enterprise.
• Serve as the primary technical advisor for cloud infrastructure projects.
• Lead end-to-end cloud projects with cross-functional teams.
• Develop strategies for cost optimization and performance improvements.
• Maintain high-quality architecture diagrams and operational standards.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support to ensure availability and reliability.
