Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a senior VMware-focused Systems Engineer to design, implement, and operate a scalable VMware Cloud Foundation environment. You will provide guidance across OS, software, and hardware, leading projects and shaping our virtualization strategy.

Responsibilities include consulting on complex infra, implementing automation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize performance, capacity, and security. Remote role with US location constraints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Systems engineer and systems programmer.
• High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Systems engineer and systems programmer.
• Preferred Education: Bachelor\'s Degree.

Responsibilities

• Consultation – Provides consultative direction and technical advice relating to the Bank's operating systems, software, and hardware infrastructure.
• Project Management - Leads assigned technical projects ensuring accurate, timely, and quality delivery of project objectives.
• Technical Expertise - Maintains a strong knowledge base to effectively manage and maintain operations efficiency and guide others.
• Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, configuration, and management tasks.
