Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a highly skilled Senior VMware VCF engineer to join the cloud infrastructure operations team. The role is remote and may be hired in AZ, NC and TX, with focus on designing, implementing, and managing VMware-based infrastructure solutions.

You will mentor teammates, automate deployments, and lead capacity planning while ensuring security and regulatory compliance across VMware VCF environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing, implementing and managing VMware-based infrastructure.
• Deep hands-on VMware Cloud Foundation experience and components.
• Strong scripting and automation with PowerShell, Python and Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Consultation and guidance on bank infrastructure; lead strategic designs.
• Develop automation to streamline deployment and management tasks.
• Lead operations and maintenance of VMware VCF across environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate VCF with existing systems.
• Provide senior troubleshooting and performance optimization for VMware solutions.
• Participate in capacity planning and ensure regulatory compliance.
