Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Quality Abstraction Manager to lead data abstraction, registry compliance, and analysis across enterprise-wide quality projects. The role emphasizes coordination with executives and service lines to drive performance improvements and data integrity.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field, 3 years in quality/abstraction/registry with supervisory experience, and 5 years in orthopedic/trauma settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare related field.
• 3 years of experience in quality, abstraction, registry with 1 year of supervisory experience in healthcare.
• 5 years of orthopedic and/or trauma experience (OR, Med Surg, ER, ICU).
• Strong analytic skills and problem-solving abilities to analyze and display complex clinical data.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office to produce, display, and maintain statistical data.
• Knowledge of software/tools used for abstraction, reporting, and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Manages a team to provide clinical synthesis, distribution, and analysis of internal and comparative data in support of system strategic, operational and quality projects.
• Oversees internal data collection and reporting and ensures submission standards are met for appropriate governing entities and accreditation standards.
• Oversees development and implementation of interoperability and validity processes and data reporting tools.
• Coordinates management oversight of all registries across the enterprise to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of databases.
• Leads and executes multiple projects with supervision or independently as needed.
• Leads process improvements for validation and inter-rater reliability audits within the registry.
