Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Quality Abstraction Manager to lead data abstraction, registry operations, and reporting across enterprise registries. You will manage a team, ensure data accuracy, and partner with facility executives to drive quality improvements in clinical performance and outcomes.

The role requires a healthcare background with registry experience and proficiency in data management software and Microsoft Office. This is a full-time remote position with nationwide scope.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience in quality, abstraction, registry with 1 year of supervisory experience leading a team; healthcare environment
• Five (5) years of orthopedic and/or trauma experience, such as in the OR, Med Surg, ER, ICU
• Knowledgeable and proficient in the use of software, data quality, data management, and presentation
• Knowledge of statutory requirements and accreditation standards by the various agencies applicable to data abstraction and reporting
• Demonstrates strong analytic skills and problem-solving ability to adequately analyze and display complex clinical data
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office or similar products to produce, display, and maintain statistical data

Responsibilities

• Oversees internal data collection and reporting and ensures submission standards are met for appropriate governing entities
• Establishes registry support services including all aspects of registry compliance with state/federal regulations
• Leads and coordinates implementation of data system software, updates, enhancements and corrections
• Coordinates management oversight of all assigned registries across the enterprise
• Directs and executes multiple, concurrent projects independent of leadership supervision
• Develops policies and procedures for data management
• Provides team support in presentation skills, reporting, and interpreting results of the data
