Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Quality Abstraction Manager to lead a team responsible for clinical synthesis, data collection, and reporting across enterprise quality projects. This fully remote role supports system-wide initiatives and requires collaboration with facility executives and service lines.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare field, 3 years in quality/abstraction with 1 year supervisory experience, and 5 years orthopedic/trauma exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare field required.
• Three years of quality/abstraction/registry experience with one year of supervisory experience.
• Five years of orthopedic/trauma experience in OR, Med Surg, ER or ICU.

Responsibilities

• Manages a team to provide clinical synthesis, distribution, and analysis of internal and comparative data for system strategic and quality projects.
• Oversees registry data collection, reporting, and submission standards for governing entities.
• Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations and accreditation standards for data abstraction.
• Leads development and validation processes, including inter-rater reliability audits.
• Serves as liaison to service line committees to provide data for continuous improvement.
