Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Casting Technology Manufacturing Engineer to support the Airfoils and Structural Castings teams with casting technology, supplier development, and cost-out initiatives. Travel 25-50% and onboarding travel to Cincinnati are expected in the first months.

You will work cross-functionally with Quality and Design to achieve metrics, mentor suppliers on quality tools, and lead process-improvement and new technology development in casting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a technical field (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years Quality/manufacturing/casting experience).
• Minimum of 5 years casting experience.
• U.S. citizenship status required.
• Ability to travel 25-50%.

Responsibilities

• Technical process and product ownership for castings commodity.
• Develop and industrialize new casting technologies.
• Collaborate with Quality and Design engineers to meet established metrics.
• Plan and implement process-engineering activities for new product and technology development.
• Mentor suppliers in quality tools and new technologies.
• Partner with sourcing for casting supplier development and cost-out projects.
• Design and implement manufacturing processes.
• Pursue continuous improvement for quality and cost reductions.
• Act as change agent and communicate progress to leadership.
