Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Casting Technology Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical support for Airfoils and Structural Castings teams, including supplier development and breakthroughs in casting technology.

You will align with the sourcing commodity on business objectives, lead process-engineering activities for new product development, and mentor suppliers in quality tools and new technologies, with 25-50% travel and onboarding requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a technical field (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years Quality/ manufacturing/casting experience) + Minimum of 5 years casting experience.
• Ability to travel 25-50%

Responsibilities

• Technical process and product ownership for castings commodity
• Active role in the development and industrialization of new casting technologies
• Work cross functionally with Quality and Design engineers to ensure that new processes achieve established metrics
• Plan and implement process-engineering activities for new product and technology development
• Mentor suppliers in the application of quality tools & requirements and new technologies
• Partner with sourcing team members for Casting supplier development and cost out projects
• Design and implement manufacturing processes
• Pursue continuous improvement for quality and cost reductions in designated area
• Act as change agent, understanding and moving the operation toward world-class performance
• Communicate progress & challenges to leadership teams
• This role will require in-person attendance for New Hire Orientation on Day 1
