Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a Senior Casting Technology Manufacturing Engineer to lead technical efforts for structural investment castings across the value stream. You will partner with suppliers and cross-functional teams to drive root cause problem solving, improve producibility, and deliver on business objectives.

Remote eligible with a Washington/Oregon/California preference for candidates due to supplier locations; 30–50% travel to Cincinnati for onboarding and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Materials/Metallurgy, Mechanical, Manufacturing) or 4 years casting experience with HS diploma.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Casting Manufacturing.
• Ability to travel 30-50%.

Responsibilities

• Provide process and product technical leadership for the Investment Structural Castings commodity.
• Act as a change agent to advance world-class performance and standard work across the supply base.
• Own supplier technical relationships; mentor suppliers on GE Aerospace processes, specifications, and methods; ensure compliance and capability.
• Lead structured, cross-functional problem-solving efforts to identify true root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Improve manufacturability through design-for-casting, specification clarity, and process capability improvements.
• Clearly communicate progress, risks, challenges, and countermeasures to leadership and stakeholders.
• Review and approve significant/special processes; ensure adherence to standards and qualification requirements.
• Collaborate with Quality and Design Engineering to ensure new/changed processes meet metrics; align with other commodities on strategy.
