Job summary

Grainger is seeking a technically skilled engineer to design, configure, deploy, and optimize enterprise software platforms that support Grainger's core business processes. You will translate business needs into scalable, secure solutions and contribute to architectural roadmaps while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will mentor junior engineers, support integrations and automation via APIs, and help improve system reliability and performance in a remote work setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3+ years designing, configuring, developing, and supporting enterprise business systems.
• Experience implementing Microsoft 365 solutions including Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform, AI Copilot automation.
• Ability translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Experience creating technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Knowledge of enterprise integrations, APIs, automation, and data exchange concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, develop, deploy, and optimize enterprise software platforms.
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Contribute to capability roadmaps, technology research and continuous improvement.
• Define non-functional requirements including security, performance and reliability.
• Partner with teams to improve service reliability and operational practices.
• Develop technical documentation and support knowledge sharing.
• Support enterprise integrations and automation capabilities via APIs and connectors.
• Evaluate processes and applications to improve efficiency and outcomes.
• Participate in production support, change management and deployment activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster collaborative engineering culture.
