Job summary

Grainger is seeking an Enterprise Controls Engineer to manage BMS/BAS functionality, reporting, and maintenance across building systems. This remote role reports to Facilities Controls and Optimization, with responsibilities spanning standards, integration, and lifecycle improvements.

You will develop business cases, create dashboards, and collaborate with Real Estate, IT, and vendors to optimize energy use and reliability. Requires engineering degree and 3+ years in controls operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience supporting building controls, maintenance, monitoring, and automation systems.
• 1+ year real estate project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as enterprise subject matter authority for BMS controls architecture.
• Establish and monitor enterprise BMS standards and naming conventions.
• Develop business cases for BMS enhancements and energy cost savings.
• Create standardized reporting, dashboards, and alerts for multiple stakeholders.
• Establish repeatable processes for BMS issues and project execution.
• Deliver training for facilities teams and partners.
• Plan and manage BMS infrastructure improvements and software changes.
• Review submittals to ensure alignment with standards.
