Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Senior Business Development Engineer to support US Army acquisition initiatives. You will work with Engineering and Applications Engineering to translate Army requirements into technically sound, field-ready solutions and deliver tailored demonstrations.

This role requires up to 50% travel and can be 100% remote depending on location; requires a minimum of 5 years in SDRs and related tactical networks, and U.S. citizenship with SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience in the field.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience with Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based tactical routing protocols, and tactical communication systems.
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
• Background check and drug test clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze US Army Capability Set requirements and map gaps to our tactical radio capabilities.
• Conduct market research to identify end-to-end product solutions and synergies with emerging industry partners; test and evaluate architectures.
• Design and build demonstrations tailored to the Army, highlighting future tactical edge network possibilities.
• Lead technical planning, network configuration, and live-on-the-air execution of field trials and evaluations with BD and Applications Engineering teams.
• Engage Army program managers, S&T leads, and warfare centers to translate advanced technology capabilities into program requirements.
• Translate Army feedback into actionable product roadmaps and track progress to meet operational needs.
