Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC seeks a Senior Functional Analyst for a fully remote, U.S.-based role supporting Veterans Affairs projects. You will capture and document business requirements for software teams, manage requirements in ALM/JIRA, and guide the product backlog through SAFe and Scrum processes.

A Master’s in engineering or related field is preferred, with a strong SAFe/Agile background and federal project experience.

Qualifications

• Strong background in software development and SAFe/Agile frameworks.
• Excellent ability to communicate complex topics to varied audiences.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting large Agile software development or data integration projects.
• Familiarity with ALM tools and requirements management.

Responsibilities

• Lead capture of business requirements for software teams.
• Document requirements with users, IT, and leadership in ALM tools.
• Manage and coordinate requirements across multiple projects.
• Elaborate user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items.
• Facilitate backlog refinement and agile ceremonies.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineers on technical impact.
