Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a remote contract-to-hire engagement focused on claims insurance. The role bridges business units and IT, translating needs into clear requirements and designs, with Guidewire Claims Center experience highly desired.

You'll work on a W2 basis with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k matching, and life insurance, and convert to full-time after the contract period.

Qualifications

• Experience eliciting requirements.
• Advanced knowledge of business modeling tools, including process and workflow modeling.
• Experience writing test cases and test plans.
• Experience with agile methods.
• Insurance domain experience preferred, with Guidewire Claims Center background highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Capture, analyze, and document business and user requirements.
• Facilitate meetings with IT and business unit management and staff.
• Understand the business domain, processes, systems, data, and linkages to create project deliverables.
• Participate in or lead business process analysis to identify requirements.
• Partner with test teams to prepare testing strategies and execution plans, ensuring test cases map to requirements.
• Provide guidance for reporting documentation and how-to requirements.
• Participate in Business Analysis Center of Excellence activities and adhere to best practices.
• Engage in all project lifecycle phases to ensure business requirements are understood, documented, and met.
• Define or refine business needs for new or enhanced products, services, or optimized processes.
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships and consult to understand goals and objectives.
