Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a talented Senior Business Analyst for a remote role within the Veterans Affairs department. The role emphasizes ELABORATION of user stories, backlog management, and traceability across requirements, test cases, and risks.

Qualifications

Strong background in software development and SAFe/Scaled Agile Framework.
Excellent oral and written communication to technical and non-technical audiences.
Attention to detail, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.
Experience conducting independent research to support complex questions.
Advanced experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
Excellent analytical skills, integrating information from several sources.
Expertise with JIRA tools.
Experience in large, Agile software development or data integration projects.

Responsibilities

Lead the capture of business requirements for software development teams.
Collaborate with business users, IT, and leadership to document requirements in an ALM tool.
Manage requirements in an ALM tool and perform Agile requirement management activities.
Perform analysis of user needs to determine functional, cross-functional, and technical requirements.
Conduct user interviews and develop business process models and formal specifications.
Use an ALM tool (JIRA) for Requirements Management, Testing, and Defect Management.
