Job summary

Coinbase is hiring a Senior Associate, Broker Dealer Operations to own and improve operational workflows across the U.S. equities lifecycle.

You will reconcile, action corporate events, manage transfers, and ensure regulatory reporting accuracy, partnering with Apex and internal teams to build reliable processes and tooling. You will work with Product and Engineering to define requirements, test launches, and strengthen controls while driving automation and governance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in financial services operations, broker-dealer operations, clearing and settlement, or related operational control function in the U.S. equities lifecycle.
• Ability to independently manage complex operational issues across multiple systems with proactive investigation and remediation.
• Experience authoring or improving SOPs, runbooks, controls docs, or audit materials in regulated settings.
• Hands-on experience with broker-dealer systems (Apex Clearing, Apex Ascend) and tooling to support operations.
• Experience partnering with Engineering and Product to translate requirements into tooling, alerts, dashboards, or automated workflows.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Own recurring broker-dealer operations workflows across reconciliations, corporate actions, transfers, account maintenance, and regulatory reporting support.
• Perform daily reconciliations between Coinbase and Apex records; document root causes and drive closure.
• Coordinate remediation across teams for time-sensitive incidents prioritizing customer/regulatory impact.
• Create and maintain audit-ready SOPs, runbooks, and process maps to enforce durable controls.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to define requirements, test functionality, and improve tooling and dashboards.
• Identify systemic failure modes and lead process-improvement initiatives to reduce manual work and improve resilience.
