Job summary

Coinbase Capital Markets is seeking a Senior Associate, Broker Dealer Operations to act as SME for the operational engine supporting U.S. equities brokerage.

You will own workflows, strengthen controls, and partner with Apex and internal teams to automate recurring manual work into reliable processes. You will manage reconciliations, corporate actions, transfers, and regulatory reporting, coordinating with Engineering, Product, Trading, Compliance, and Risk to ensure accuracy and resilience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in financial services operations or broker-dealer operations.
• Ability to independently resolve complex operational issues across multiple systems.
• Experience writing or improving SOPs, runbooks, or audit materials in regulated environments.
• Hands-on with broker-dealer systems (Apex Clearing, Apex Ascend) and proficiency in SQL and Jira.
• Experience partnering with Engineering/Product to turn requirements into tooling, alerts, dashboards, or automation.

Responsibilities

• Own recurring broker-dealer operations workflows across reconciliations and regulatory reporting.
• Perform daily reconciliations between Coinbase and Apex records; investigate and resolve breaks.
• Coordinate remediation for time-sensitive incidents across multiple teams.
• Create audit-ready documentation, runbooks, and control maps.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to define requirements and improve tooling and dashboards.
• Identify systemic failure modes and lead process-improvement initiatives.
