Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Senior BESS Engineer to lead design, development, and optimization of battery energy storage systems. This remote role reports to SOLV Engineering and involves guiding project teams across electrical, civil, SCADA, and HV disciplines.

The candidate should bring 5+ years in BESS or power systems, strong knowledge of BESS components and grid interconnection, and a PE license preferred. Expect travel and active collaboration with vendors and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience focusing on BESS, renewables, or power systems.
• Expert knowledge of BESS components and grid interconnection equipment.
• Proficiency in power system analysis and simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical SME for BESS engineering scopes and guide project teams.
• Lead and manage the design and engineering of battery energy storage systems (BESS).
• Review feasibility studies, site assessments, and system sizing analyses to optimize configurations.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and contractors to design, procure, install, and commission BESS systems.
• Provide engineering support during construction, testing, validation, and energization.
